Dr abhishek bali has been practicing In Siliguri since September 2020, in the field of pulmonology, respiratory critical care and Sleep medicine.

He completed his Undergraduate and post graduate training from AJ institute of medical sciences and research centre, Mangaluru, a tertiary referral centre in the Dakshina Karnataka area.

He completed his Senior residency from the prestigious Father Mullers medical college and hospital, Mangaluru after which he underwent one year of fellowship in interventional pulmonology under the mentorship of Dr Kedar Hibare, consultant interventional pulmonologist at Mazumdar Shaw Medical centre, Bangalore.

He was previously associated as senior consultant, pulmonology critical care and sleep medicine, Neotia getwel multi-speciality hospital Siliguri.

He has the unique distinction of pioneering interventional pulmonology in the North Bengal and Sikkim area such as

First medical pleuroscopy
First balloon bronchoplasty and tracheoplasty
First tumour debulking in lung cancer
First indwelling silicone catheter insertion for malignant pleural effusions
First to introduce cryo-modalities in bronchology
First to perform regular flexible bronchoscopic foreign body removal in children

He has also been a regular faculty at Indian association of Bronchology (IAB) workshops and events, as well as other national as well as international conferences.

Education: Paving his way to medical life

Dr Abhishek Bali received his medical doctorate or MBBS from the A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Mangalore, Karnataka in the year 2012. He further followed his interest in respiratory medicine and completed his MD (Respiratory Medicine) from the same A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Mangalore, Karnataka. He took his specialization and medical career to next level by an exclusive training in Medical Pleuroscopy, Chest Ultrasound, EBUS, Intervention Pulmonology from CMC Vellore, Tamil Nadu for a broader intervention towards pulmonology and its ailments.

Experience: His contribution to the healthcare

Prior to his personal practice, Dr Abhishek Bali was associated with A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, Mangalore, Karnataka as Assistant Professor for respiratory medicine. In addition to this, he worked with FMMC, Mangalore, Karnataka as senior resident doctor which was a prominent part of his career. Further he was a consultant pulmonologist at KIMS Sunrise Hospital, Kasargod, Kerala. He covers all the respiratory ailments with the best possible treatments for diseases like Asthma, COPD, Obstructive Airway Disease, Thoracic Oncology, Allergy & Immunology, Smoking Cessation & NRT Clinic, Sleep Medicine, Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) & Endo Bronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) - Cancer Staging, Thoracoscopy- Medical Pleuroscopy.
